People using a Chill&Bite Micro Market inside an office building
01 — The basics

What is a Micro Market?

A Micro Market is a small, open shop inside your own building. It operates without the need for a permanent cashier or on-site attendant. People walk up, take what they want from the shelves and chillers, pay at a self-checkout and go back to work.

It replaces the idea of a machine in the corridor with something closer to a small convenience store: real shelves, a real chiller, a visible assortment and room for fresh food that a vending machine cannot hold.

  • Open and self-service — nothing is hidden behind glass
  • Available 24/7, including night shifts and weekends, where building access allows
  • Cashless checkout, no queue, no cashier
  • Installed, stocked and serviced entirely by Chill&Bite
02 — The assortment

What people find there

The assortment is built for the building it sits in and adjusted as we learn what people actually buy.

Fresh and chilled food

Ready meals, sandwiches, salads, yoghurt and fruit, where the site and the volume support daily freshness.

Snacks

Sweet and salty, everyday options alongside lighter and higher-protein alternatives.

Drinks

Water, soft drinks, juices, energy and chilled options in the cold section.

Coffee

A coffee point can be part of the same space, or run separately, depending on what the building already has.

Everyday essentials

The small things people leave the building for — where there is demand for them.

Not every category is available at every location. The final assortment depends on the size of the site, the number of people and how the space is used.

03 — How it works

Simple for your people. Managed on our side.

For the people in your building
  1. 01

    Choose

Take what you want from the shelf or the chiller.

  2. 02

    Check out

Scan the items at the self-checkout terminal.

  3. 03

    Pay

Card or another cashless method — a few seconds, no queue.

  4. 04

    Go

Back to the desk. The market stays open when you leave.

On the Chill&Bite side
  1. 01

    We monitor

Sales and stock are tracked so we know what the site is running low on.

  2. 02

    We replenish

Our team restocks on a schedule built around the real consumption of the site.

  3. 03

    We service

Cleaning, equipment checks, expiry control and support requests are ours to handle.

  4. 04

    We improve

What sells stays, what does not sell is replaced. The assortment keeps changing with the building.

04 — Ownership

Chill&Bite manages the whole service.

The point of a Micro Market is that it does not become another thing for your office or facility team to run.

  • Assortment planning for the specific site
  • Procurement and supplier relationships
  • Replenishment and delivery
  • Merchandising and product rotation
  • Cashless payments and checkout equipment
  • Operational monitoring of sales, stock and equipment
  • Support for users and for your facility team
  • Ongoing optimisation based on what the site actually consumes

You provide the space and the people. We provide and run the market.

05 — Comparison

Micro Market or vending machine?

Both have their place. The difference is mostly about what the format can physically hold and how it is managed.

Micro MarketTraditional vending
AssortmentBroad — shelves and chillers hold many more linesLimited by the number of spirals and slots
Fresh foodPossible where the site supports daily freshnessRarely practical
ExperienceOpen, shop-like, products can be picked up and readSelection through glass and a keypad
FlexibilityThe assortment can be changed quicklyChanges are constrained by the machine layout
ReplenishmentManaged on a schedule based on real consumptionOften route-based
OptimisationSales data informs what stays and what goesVaries by operator

A vending machine can still be the right answer for a small site or a specific location inside a building. We will say so if that is the case.

Offices, business centres, coworking spaces, hotels and production sites — the same operational standard across all of them.

07 — Behind the service

Better operations behind every Micro Market.

Our own operational technology is what allows one team to keep many sites stocked, clean and working. It supports the service — it is not something your people need to learn.

Sales and stock visibility

We see how each site is performing and what it is running out of.

Replenishment decisions

Restocking is planned around real consumption rather than a fixed route.

Field operations

MicroOps™ gives our on-site team its daily tasks, checks and confirmations.

Service monitoring

Equipment and service issues are picked up and handled, with QR Support™ available at the market itself.

The technology sits behind the counter, so to speak. What your people see is a shop that is stocked and working.
